Description Of Change: The addition of a new ground wire between the Clean Emissions Module (CEM) and the engine cylinder block helps prevent ARD heater relay failures.

Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

(1) CEM Ground Location

In cases of repeated failure of the ARD nozzle heater relay, install an additional ground wire between the CEM and the cylinder block. This new strap removes ground potential at the grounding boss and CRS head. Use existing CEM ground location (1) shown in Illustration 1. Use an 8 gauge wire for the new ground wire being installed.

Use an appropriate gauge wire and length to have potential at <0.1V. Remove any visible paint on the CEM ground location.
