Information Display Screen

Cat® Display Start-Up Page

The Information Display Screen appears when the machine is at startup. The Caterpillar corporate logo will appear on the splash screen. A buzzer test will sound. The screen will show for three (3) seconds before the Performance Page appears on the Information Display.

Note: After the Splash Screen is removed from the screen and the boot continues, the splash screen will not be visible until the next Key Cycle.

Note: If the Rear View Camera is installed, the Rear Camera screen will appear after the splash screen and before Performance Page 1.

Once the machine has been started up and Cat® Display Information Screen has been shown, the Select Operator menu page will appear. The Select Operator menu page allows the operator to choose what operator will be operating the machine.

Note: A list of operators must have been previously set up in the Information Display. For more information on setting up a list of operators, refer to the following section in this manual.

  • Operator menu

  1. Select a specific operator by pressing the intended Operator menu button in the Select Operators menu button group (1). The button will first turn to blue, then turn to yellow. A black check mark will appear in the selected menu button.

  2. Press the OK button. The selected operators identification will appear in the middle of the Lower Information Display Banner (6).

If the operator shown in the Lower Information Banner is to remain active, press the NEXT button (5).

If an operator has not been selected within fifteen (15) seconds, the Information Display will show Performance Page 1. A Pop-Up message will appear for three (3) seconds indicating that the previous operator will remain active.

If another operator has been selected, the Information Display will show Performance Page 1. A Pop-Up message will appear for three (3) seconds indicating that another operator is active.

Fluid Levels

The Fluid Levels Status page will appear on the Information Display immediately after the machine has been keyed on, but is not yet running. The status page will show the following parameters:

  • Engine Oil Status

  • Engine Coolant Status

  • Washer Fluid Status

Each parameter will show one of the two messages:

  • OK

  • Check

If a parameter is faulted or communications are lost, the affected parameter should show as "***".

The Fluid Levels page reports the status of the machines fluid levels. Press the OK button (3) to acknowledge the Fluid Levels check. Performance Page 1 of the Information Display will then appear.

The Fluid Levels Status page is only shown when the Engine Speed is less than or equal to 400 RPM. The page will automatically navigate to Performance Page 1 after five (5) seconds or when the OK button is pressed.

The Fluid Levels Status page is visible, when Engine Speed goes above 400 RPM, the Fluid Levels Status page will automatically navigate to Performance Page 1.
