Maintenance Interval Schedule

Usage:

SPS342 2LZ
Before performing any operation or maintenance procedures, ensure that the Safety Information, warnings, and instructions are read and understood.

To determine the maintenance intervals, use fuel consumption, service hours, or calendar time, which ever occurs first.

Before each consecutive interval is performed, all of the maintenance requirements from the previous interval must be performed.

When Required

Batteries - Replace
Battery - Recycle
Battery or Battery Cable - Disconnect
Fan Drive Bearing - Lubricate
Fuel System - Prime

Daily

Air Tank Moisture and Sediment - Drain
Cooling System Coolant Level - Check
Driven Equipment - Inspect/Replace/Lubricate
Engine Air Cleaner Service Indicator - Inspect
Engine Oil Level - Check
Fuel System Primary Filter/Water Separator - Drain
Walk-Around Inspection

Every 3000 Service Hours or 3 Years

Cooling System Coolant Extender (ELC) - Add

Every 6000 Service Hours or 6 Years

Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change

First 18 950 L (5000 US gal) of Fuel or 125 Service Hours

Engine Speed/Timing Sensor - Clean/Inspect
Engine Valve Lash - Inspect/Adjust

Every 18 950 L (5000 US gal) of Fuel or 125 Service Hours

Cooling System Supplemental Coolant Additive (SCA) - Test/Add
Engine Crankcase Breather - Clean
Engine Oil Sample - Obtain
Engine Oil and Filter - Change
Engine Speed/Timing Sensor - Clean/Inspect
Fuel System Primary Filter/Water Separator Element - Replace
Fuel System Secondary Filter - Replace
Fuel Tank Water and Sediment - Drain
Power End Oil and Filter - Change

Alternator and Fan Belts - Inspect/Adjust/Replace

Drive Shaft Universal Joints - Lubricate
Engine - Clean

Radiator - Clean

Cooling System Coolant Analysis (Level II) - Obtain
Crankshaft Vibration Damper - Inspect
