Assembly Procedure

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

    Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.

    To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.


  1. Install plunger (3).

  2. Install spring (2).

  3. Install cover (1).

  4. Install engine oil filter base (5) onto housing (4).

End By:

  1. Install the engine oil filter base. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Filter Base - Install".
