SUBJECT: HESITATION TO THE LEFT DURING SWING INITIATION

PROBLEM:

During the initiation of the joystick swing left function the affected machines may experience a delay of up to 3 seconds before the upper structure will swing left.

SOLUTION:

The following may be used as an interim solution:

  1. Remove the 171-0189 flow control valves (shock-less valve) that are located in the pilot lines at the swing circuit main control valve spool caps.

Note: Removing the flow control valves will make the swing circuit slightly more aggressive during acceleration and deceleration. A slight reduction in modulation may also be noticed. This will not be detrimental to the machine reliability or durability.

Please refer questions to Jim Bathrick (919) 465-2742.
