SUBJECT: INTERFERENCE FROM THE HOSE ROUTING OF THE FUEL RETURN HOSE

PROBLEM:

The hose routing of the fuel return hose may develop interference between the hose assembly and the counterweight. The hose assembly connects the fuel tank to the fuel manifold adapter on the engine. The fuel return hose is a low pressure line.

The usual location of the interference is approximately two feet from the connection at the fuel manifold adapter. Remove the engine access panel in order to inspect the fuel line. The location of the hose assembly is shown in Illustration 1.

SOLUTION:

If interference exists, protect the affected area of the 127-7688 Hose Assembly with a length of 7I-7439 Guard.

An alternative solution is to replace the former 127-7688 Hose Assembly with a new 199-0368 Hose Assembly. The new 199-0368 Hose Assembly has the 7I-7439 Guard installed.
