New Bolts And Washers Used To Retain Track Tensioner Cylinder Rod Seal{4197,4157}

Usage:

5130 (5ZL, 7TJ),
5230 (7LL) Excavators

Description of Change: Three new bolts and washers are used to retain the lip type rod wiper seal in the head of the 5130 and 5230 track tensioner cylinders. The retention provided by bolts and washers will prevent the seal from coming out of its bore.

Adaptable To: Three 6V-5215 Bolts (1) and three 7S-6369 Washers (2) have been added to 6E-6311 Head (4) of the 127-1475 Cylinder Groups and to 121-1296 Head (4) of the 127-1474 Cylinder Group. The three 6V-5215 Bolts and three 7S-6369 Washers are effective with 5130 (5ZL86) Excavator and 5230 (7LL73) Excavator. The heads of the track tensioner cylinders of all earlier models can be modified to accept the three bolts and washers.

Adapting Procedure
