Resetting Event Recorder And Service Lamp For VIMS {7601}

A problem may occur on VIMS equiped machines that is related to an Event for Full Event Recorders. After a download only, the status screen on your service tool will show that an Event for Full Event Recorder as still active and event recorders as 0%. The Service lamp remains on.

Resolution:

1. Do a download and RESET of the event recorder. A download and reset of the event recorder makes the event inactive and turns the service lamp off. After a download ONLY, the event will remain active and the service lamp will remain on.

2. Either way, the event will still show on the Event Chronological List. A download and reset of the Event Chronological List purges the Full Event Recorder Event from the system.
