Removal Procedure for the Hydraulic Track Adjuster on CIPI Undercarriage Arrangements which are Based on 330 and 330B Track Type Excavators

Start By:
- Separate the track assembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Separate" in this manual.
- Lift the side of the machine, and install Tooling (A) under the frame, as shown.

Note: Adjust the height of Tooling (A) in order to provide sufficient clearance for the removal of the hydraulic track adjuster when Tooling (A) is installed under the frame of the machine.
- Use a pry bar to move the front idler and recoil spring assembly (3) forward approximately 152 mm (6 inch) in the undercarriage frame assembly.

Note: The front track carrier roller has been removed in order to provide a better illustration of two mounting bolts (1) that hold the hydraulic track adjuster to the vertical bulkhead in the undercarriage frame assembly.
- The weight of the hydraulic track adjuster is 30 kg (65 lb). Use two people to support hydraulic track adjuster (2), and remove two bolts (1) that hold the adjuster to the vertical bulkhead in the undercarriage frame assembly. Lower the hydraulic track adjuster out of the bottom of the undercarriage frame assembly.
