Installation Procedure for the Hydraulic Track Adjuster on CIPI Undercarriage Arrangements which are Based on 330 and 330B Track Type Excavators

- Make sure that the hydraulic track adjuster is thoroughly clean. Also, make sure that the front and the rear faces of the vertical bulkhead that is in the undercarriage frame assembly are thoroughly clean.
- Install a suitable sized guide bolt (4) in the upper mounting hole of hydraulic track adjuster (2), as shown. The guide bolt will help support the hydraulic track adjuster during installation.

- The weight of the hydraulic track adjuster is 30 kg (65 lb). Use two people to put hydraulic track adjuster (2) in position in the undercarriage frame assembly. Install guide bolt (4) in the hydraulic track adjuster through the upper mounting hole in the vertical bulkhead, as shown. Make sure that the fill and relief valves in the hydraulic track adjuster are facing toward the opening in the side of the undercarriage frame assembly.

- Install lower mounting bolt (1) that holds the adjuster in place. Remove the guide bolt, and install the upper mounting bolt.

- Use a pry bar in order to move the front idler and the recoil spring against the hydraulic track adjuster.
- Lift the machine off Tooling (A) and remove the stands. Lower the machine to the floor.
