Muffler - Remove and Install

Usage:

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the hood.

  1. Remove four bolts (1) and remove panel (2). Remove two door panels (3). Repeat for the other side of the machine.

  2. Loosen clamp (4).

  3. Loosen two bolts (5) and position bracket (6) out of the way.

  4. Loosen clamp (8) and disconnect hose (7).

  5. Loosen clamp (9) and disconnect hose (10).

  6. Loosen two bolts (11) and position bracket (12) out of the way.

  7. Loosen clamp (13).

  8. Attach suitable lifting device to muffler group (14). The weight of muffler group (14) is approximately 168 kg (370 lb).

  9. Remove four bolts (15). Repeat for the other side of muffler group (14).

  10. Remove muffler group (14).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install muffler group (14) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten clamp (13) to a torque of 68 ± 12 N·m (50 ± 9 lb ft).

    2. Tighten clamp (9) to a torque of 7.5 ± 1 N·m (66 ± 9 lb in).

    3. Tighten clamp (8) to a torque of 7.5 ± 1 N·m (66 ± 9 lb in).

    4. Tighten clamp (4) to a torque of 68 ± 12 N·m (50 ± 9 lb ft).
