(1) 6E-4139 Relief Valve Gp head end

Field service reports indicate that the head end, Tilt Cylinder Line Relief Valve (1) may fail, due to score marks on the valve seat, causing bypass. Failure is often observed at low hours of machine operation. A failed 6E-4139 Relief Valve Gp may wear, preventing the bucket from holding position when loaded.

Solution

Caterpillar is aware of the problem, but an interim solution has not yet been defined.

In the event of a failed 6E-4139 Relief Valve Gp (1) replace with a new 6E-4139 Relief Valve Gp (1).

Additional information is needed to resolve this issue. If you have experienced a failed 6E-4139 Relief Valve Gp (1), follow the instruction below.
