Start By:
- Remove the piston pump (fan).
- Be sure that the outside of the piston pump is thoroughly clean prior to disassembly.

- Remove screws (4) and pump control valve (3).

To prevent the possibility of injury, follow the procedure to relieve the spring pressure.
- Remove plug (5), spring (7), guide (8), and spool (9) from compensator valve (3). Remove O-ring seal (6) from plug (5). Remove plug (13), spool (16), guide (17), spring (18) and guide (19), from compensator valve (3). Remove O-ring seal (14) and seal (15) from plug (13). Remove plug (11) from compensator valve (3). Remove seal (10), cap (20), and nut (12) from plug (11).

- Remove bolts (6) and head (5).

- Remove plate (16) and pistons (15) from barrel (17). Remove retaining ball (18).

To prevent the possibility of injury, follow the procedure to relieve the spring pressure.
- Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press in order to compress spring (20). Remove retaining ring (19), spring (20), and retaining disc (21) from barrel (17).
- Remove pressure pins (22) from barrel (17).

- Remove plug (22) and the O-ring seal.

- Remove retaining ring (32). Use Tooling (A) to remove lip seal (33).
- Remove bearing cup (35) and ring (34) from housing (13).
