G3616 (4CG) ENGINES
Problem:
The factory is trying to determine the root cause of the failure of Hydrax Actuator Solenoids.
Solution:
When a failed 101-9528 Hydrax Actuator Solenoid is replaced, please add the Part Number and the Serial Number of the HYDRAX ACTUATOR GROUP where the failed solenoid was used to the Servicing Dealer Identification Tag. The identification of the Hydrax Actuator Group where the solenoid was used will help to better identify the root cause of the solenoid failure.
The illustration shows the general location of the Part Number and Serial Number of the Hydrax Actuator Group. The Part Number has a format of XXX-XXXX-NN. XXX-XXXX is the Part Number and NN is the Change Level. A four digit Serial Number is located adjacent to the Part Number or just below the Part Number. The Serial Number is specific to the actuator. This Serial Number will more closely identify the design configuration of the Hydrax Actuator Group and its components. NOTE:
NOTE: The body of the Hydrax Actuator Group is normally painted. This paint may have to be removed in order to observe the Part Number and Serial Number.
