New Rotor Used In BrakeSaver Group; Regulator Valve Improved{1155}

Usage:

3406B Truck Engines

Description of Change: A new rotor is used in the BrakeSaver group. The new rotor has twice as many paddles which reduces the dynamic pressure fluctuations in the brakesaver and minimizes the tendency of fluid cavitation and housing/stator erosion.

The regulator valve has been improved to include a tamper indicating seal. A broken seal may indicate the air pressure settings are not factory specifications. Also, the 8T2822 Temperature Recorder Group) may be used on the oil filter to verify that the oil temperature to the engine does not exceed 116°C (240°F).

Adaptable To: The new 9N6574 Rotor is a direct replacement for the former 9N6573 Rotor (canceled). The new rotor is effective with 3406B (4MG91435, 8TC12886, 5YG382) Truck Engines. The part number of the improved 9L5570 Regulator Valve did not changed.

NOTE: Eroded housings can normally be reused.
