机器尾门的每侧配有一个尾门油缸。 尾门油缸为双作用油缸。 当尾门油缸收回时，尾门打开。 尾门油缸伸出时，尾门关闭。
注: 两个尾门油缸同时伸出和收回。
收回
作用到推料器油缸活塞侧上的压力送往端口 (7) 。 油流入环带 (10) 且压力作用到活塞 (11) 上。 活塞 (11) 向油缸内移动且油从端口 (1) 中压出。 随着活塞向尾门油缸端部的移动，从尾门油缸活塞侧流出的油被逐步限流。 限流器为间隙 (12) 、孔 (2) 和环槽 (13) 。 在活塞到达油缸端部时，限流器为尾门油缸提供阻尼。
伸出
泵压送往端口 (1) 。 油流入尾门油缸的活塞侧且压力作用到活塞 (11) 上。 活塞发生移动，且杆 (6) 从尾门油缸中向外移动。 油从环带 (10) 经由端口 (7) 压出。 此过程继续进行，直到尾门关闭。
