Typical example |
- Install new 353-3571 Fuel Line (1) by inserting into the adaptor (2) in the fuel injection pump. Orientate the pipe such that the fourth leg at position (X) is vertical. Refer to illustration 2. Tighten the nut finger tight.
- Install three 6I-0260 Bolts (4) to 354-5556 Bracket As (3). Install 354-5556 Bracket As (3) to the cover of the inlet manifold. Tighten the bolts (4) to a torque of 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

Typical example |
- Remove the existing stud at position (Y). Install longer 6I-0364 Stud to top filter 311-1737 Bracket As at position (Y). Refer to illustration 4. Tighten the stud to a torque of 18 N·m (13 lb ft).
- Position 311-1737 Bracket As (7) to the lower bracket (3) after rotating the larger clip (9) of the 353-3571 Fuel Line clear of the longer stud.
- Install the two 6I-0593 Bolts to the 311-1737 Bracket As (7). Tighten the nuts (8) to a torque of 44 N·m (32 lb ft).
- Install 353-3588 Filter to 311-1737 Bracket As (7). Install two 6I-0593 Bolts (12) to 353-3588 Filter .
- Install end of 353-3571 Fuel Line (1) into compression adaptor of the secondary fuel filter base (11). Rotate clip (9) so that the clip can be installed over the stud. Loosely install 6I-0594 Nut (10) to retain clip (9) .

Typical example |
- If necessary, use slotted holes in the secondary fuel filter base (11) to achieve optimum position. Tighten the two bolts (12) to a torque of 44 N·m (32 lb ft).
- Ensure that 353-3571 Fuel Line (1) is still in the correct position. Tighten the compression nut to a torque of 27 N·m (20 lb ft). Tighten 6I-0594 Nut (10) to a torque of 44 N·m (32 lb ft). Tighten the bolt (6) to a torque of 22 N·m (16 lb ft).
- Install a new fuel injection line to the fuel injection pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Injection Lines - Install"
- Install the primary fuel filter and bracket. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Priming Pump - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
- Install all tube assemblies to the engine.
- Prime the fuel system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System - Prime" for the correct procedure.
