Start By:
- Remove the bank valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bank Valve (Loader) - Remove".

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

Note: Do not damage the discs and the balls that are located on the valve assemblies, during the disassembly procedures. The discs and the balls are not serviceable components.
Note: Mark the location of the relief valves during the disassembly procedure.
- Remove nuts (3), bracket (2), and tilt valve (1) .

- Remove O-ring seals (7) .

- Remove bolts (5) and cover assembly (8) .
- Remove bolts (6) and remove spool assembly (4) .
- Remove bolts (9), cover (10), and the gasket.

- Remove clip (11), spring (14), disc (12), coil (13), the O-ring seal, housing (15), and the gasket.

- Clamp the tang of spool (19) into a suitable vise in order to remove spool (16). Remove spool (16), retainer (17), spring (18), retainer (20), plate (21), and cover assembly (22) from spool (19) .

Note: Do not slide the surface of seals in cover assembly (22) across the lands of spool (19) .
- Remove plug (23) and the O-ring seal.

- Remove plug (24), the O-ring seal, and the relief valve. Repeat for the opposite side.
- Remove spring (25) and spool (26) .

- Remove sleeve (35), washer (36), and spring sleeve (37) .

Note: Do not slide the surface of seals in cover assembly (45) across the lands of spool (41) .
- Clamp the tang of spool (41) into a suitable vise in order to remove rod (38). Remove rod (38), retainer (40), spring (42), retainer (43), plate (44), and cover assembly (45) from spool (41) .
- Remove plug (46) and the O-ring seal.

- Remove spring (47) and spool (48) .

- Remove plug (55) and the O-ring seal.
