Bank Valve (Backhoe) - Disassemble - Pilot Operated

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the bank valve (backhoe). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bank Valve (Backhoe) - Remove".


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

  1. The valves within the bank valve are positioned in the following manner. outlet manifold (1), stabilizer valve (2), extendable stick valve (3), stick valve (4), bucket valve (5), swing valve (6), boom valve (7), stabilizer valve (8), and inlet manifold (9) .

  1. Remove nuts (11) from bank valve (10). Remove outlet manifold (1) .

  1. Remove plugs (12) and (14). Remove O-ring seal (13) and (15) .

  1. Remove plug (16). Remove O-ring seal (17). Remove nut (18). Remove coil (19) .

  1. Remove spool (20). Remove cartridge (21) .
