Description of Change: The piston assembly is improved for the main hydraulic pump. New material for the piston shoe prevents premature wear. Premature wear increased the end play between the piston head and the piston shoe. The excessive end play caused the separation of the piston shoe. The loose piston shoe caused the seizure of the piston and internal failure of the pump.

Adaptable To: The new piston assembly and the former piston assembly are listed in Table 1. The new main hydraulic pump and the former main hydraulic pump are also listed in Table 1. The new piston assemblies are included in the new main hydraulic pump. Replace the former piston assembly with the new piston assembly if the main hydraulic pump fails. Replace the former main hydraulic pump with the new main hydraulic pump if the pump is damaged beyond the piston assemblies.
