Description of Change: A check valve has been added to the spray bars in order to improve reliability of the water spray system.
Adaptable To: The 323-2863 Check Valve has been added to the spray bars.
The addition of the check valve is effective with the following Utility Compactors:
- CB34 (S/N: 345122)
- CB34XW (S/N: 347102)
- CC34 (S/N: 346106)
- CB-214E (S/N: 2141-UP)

Procedure to Modify the Check Valve
- Disassemble the 269-3755 Strainer .

- Remove ball (1) and spring (2) .
- Reassemble the 269-3755 Strainer .

- Remove the existing check valve from the strainer.
- Remove inlet fitting (4) and the clamp from the spray bar.

- Install 323-2863 Check Valve (3) on the spray bar.

- Install inlet fitting (4) on the spray bar.
- Repeat Step 2 through Step 4 for the other spray bar.
- Prime the water spray system.
Procedure to Prime the Water Spray System
- Open valve (5) on the control valve.

- Turn on the water spray system.
- Close valve (5) when water starts to flow from the water spray valve.
- Turn off the water spray system.
- The water spray system is now primed.
