Transmission from Torque Converter - Separate
Separation Procedure

Start By:
- Separate the output transfer gears from the transmission planetary group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Output Transfer Gears from Tranmission, Torque Converter - Separate" for the machine that is being serviced.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the separation procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
- Remove bolt (1) and the washers. Remove two hoses (2) .

- Remove bolt (3), the clamps, the nut and the washers.
- Remove four bolts (4) and the washers. Remove hose assembly (6) from tube assembly (5) .
- Remove five bolts (7) and the washers from manifold (8) .

- Remove manifold (8) .
- Install Tooling (A) to transmission (9). Attach a hoist and suitable lifting straps to Tooling (A) .

- Remove eleven bolts (11) and the washers that secure transmission (9) to torque converter (10) .

- Remove two brackets (12) .
- Use the hoist to carefully separate transmission (9) from torque converter (10). The weight of the transmission is 635 kg (1400 lb).

- Remove output shaft (13) .
- Remove O-ring seal (14) from transmission (9) .
