Winch Control Valve - Disassemble

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the winch control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Winch Control Valve - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

  1. Remove bolt (2) and the washer. Remove mounting bracket (1) .

  1. Remove the remaining three bolts and the washers. Remove mounting bracket (3) .

  1. Remove two tube assemblies (4) from each side of the winch control valve.

  1. Remove four nuts (5) and the washers.

  1. Remove cover assembly (6) from the valve.

  1. Remove fitting (7) and the check valve from cover (6). Remove plug (8) .

  1. Remove valve group (9) .

  1. Remove six O-rings (10) from valve group (9) .

  1. Remove fitting (11) and the O-ring seal.

  1. Remove four bolts (12), end cap (13), bushing (14), spring (15), bushing (16), and O-ring seal (17). Repeat for the other side of the valve group.

  1. Remove spool (18) from the valve body.

  1. Remove fitting (19). Remove valve group (20) .

  1. Remove plug (21) .

  1. Remove three O-ring seals (22) from plug (21) .

  1. Remove plug (23) and the O-ring seal.

  1. Remove spring (24) and shuttle (25) .

  1. Remove two fittings (26) and the O-ring seals.

  1. Remove valve group (27) .

  1. Remove six O-rings (28) .

  1. Remove fitting (29) and the O-ring seal.

  1. Remove four bolts (30), end cap (31), bushing (32), spring (33), bushing (34), and O-ring seal (35) .

  1. Remove spool (36) .

  1. Remove plug (37) .

  1. Remove three O-rings (38) from plug (37). Repeat for the other side of the valve.

  1. Remove plug (39) and the O-ring seal.

  1. Remove two fittings (42) and the O-ring seals.

  1. Remove nine O-rings (46) from valve group (45) .

  1. Remove four O-rings (48) from cartridge (47) .

  1. Remove valve group (49) .

  1. Remove five O-rings (50) from valve group (49) .

  1. Remove 10 O-rings (52) from valve group (51) .

  1. Remove valve group (53) .

  1. Remove six O-rings (54) from valve group (53) .

  1. Remove valve groups (55) and (56) .

  1. Remove six O-rings (57) from each valve group (55) and (56) .

  1. Remove six O-rings (59) from valve group (58) .

  1. If necessary, remove all remaining fitting and plugs.
