Inverter Valve (Secondary Brake) - Remove

Usage:

773D 7CS

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Purge the air pressure from the air tanks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Tanks (Brake) - Purge".

------ WARNING! ------

Personal injury can result from removing hoses or fittings in a pressure system.

Failure to relieve pressure can cause personal injury.

Do not remove or disconnect hoses or fittings until all pressure in the air system has been relieved.

Note: The inverter valve is located above the service brake air tank.

    Note: Install caps and plugs on all openings in order to prevent dirt or debris from entering the system. Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will prevent dirt from entering the internal components.

  1. Put identification on hose assemblies (2), (3), and (4) for installation purposes.

  1. Disconnect hose assemblies (2), (3), and (4) from inverter valve (1) .

  1. Remove bolts (5) that secure inverter valve (1) to the plate assembly.

  1. Remove inverter valve (1) from the plate assembly.
