Removal Procedure

Disconnect batteries before performance of any service work.

Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

1. Remove the left side front engine guard.

2. Remove bolt (1) and remove bracket (2) .

3. Disconnect wires (4) (not shown) from solenoid (3) .

4. Remove nut (5) and the washer. Disconnect wires (7) from electric starting motor (6) .

5. Use a suitable lifting device and a strap to remove the electric starting motor. Remove bolts (8) and remove electric starting motor (6). The weight of the motor is 26 kg (57 lb).

1. Install electric starting motor (6) with a strap and a suitable lifting device. Install bolts (8). The weight of the motor is 26 kg (57 lb).

2. Connect wires (4) to solenoid (3) .

3. Connect wires (7) to electric starting motor (6). Install the washer and nut (5) .

4. Install bracket (2) with bolt (1) .

5. Install the left side front engine guard.
