Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the front compartment cover of the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Front) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.

In order to prevent possible personal injury, release the air pressure from the air tank before disconnecting any components of the air system.

1. Release the air pressure in the air tank.

Note: Identify the hose assemblies for correct installation purposes.

2. Disconnect hose assembly (1) .

3. Disconnect hose assembly (4) .

4. Disconnect hose assembly (6) .

5. Remove hose assembly (9) .

6. Disconnect the electrical connection. Remove pressure switch (2) that is activated by the brakes.

7. Remove tee (3) and tee (5) .

8. Remove bolt (7) and the washer.

9. Remove double check valve (8) .

Installation Procedure

Note: Use 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant during the assembly of the pipe plugs, the nipples, and the fittings.

1. Install double check valve (8) .

2. Install the washer and bolt (7) .

3. Install tee (5) and tee (3) .

4. Install pressure switch (2). Connect the electrical connection.

5. Install hose assembly (9) .

6. Connect hose assembly (6) .

7. Connect hose assembly (4) .

8. Connect hose assembly (1) .

9. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Starting with an External Air Supply" in order to refill the air tank.

End By: Install the front compartment cover of the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Front) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
