SUBJECT: Two Lubrication Holes Have Been Omitted In the 7S-8580 Planetary Carrier

PROBLEM:

Two 4.8 mm (0.19 in) diameter lubrication holes have been omitted in the 7S-8580 Planetary Carrier. These holes provide the lubrication oil that is necessary for the #6 and #7 clutches.

SOLUTION:

Check all 7S-8580 Planetary Carriers that have been received since July 3, 2003 and rework the necessary pieces. For more information on how to rework these pieces, contact Randy Gallinger at:
