In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 45% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.

ACTION REQUIRED

Machine Preparation
1. Park machine on a level surface. If necessary to park on a grade, chock the wheels securely.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Lower the work tools to the ground.
4. Stop the engine.

Refer to the following as necessary:
-Operation and Maintenance Manual "Operation Section - Parking"
-Testing and Adjusting Manual "Machine Preparation"
-SENR7733 "General Service and Repair Safety Information"

Machine Rework
Inspect the bolts using Static Inspection Torque ? (Inspection After Assembly). Static inspection torques are used to provide indication that proper assembly torque has been achieved. The following procedure is to be used only as an indication that minimum assembly requirements have been achieved.
1. Apply the static inspection torque in the tightening direction
2. The fastener, adapter, etc shall not move when the static inspection torque is applied.

If any bolt turns at the minimum specification of the dynamic torque range, remove the bolt and inspect for any damage.

Inspect the bolts per the Reuse and Salvage Guidelines for Inspection and Reuse of Driveline Fasteners SEBF8728.

If the bolts meet the inspection guidelines, they may be reused after removing any contaminants from the bolt and washer. If the bolt does not meet the guideline, replace the bolt and washer with new parts. In either case, the mounting face of the rim and the bolt hole should be cleaned of any lubricants or contaminants.

If the bolts did not turn on the wheel, no further action is necessary for that wheel.

Lubrication ? Torque values apply to components without the addition of any lubricant except for any rust preventative applied by the component supplier. Usually a light oil mist found on phosphate coated bolts.

The use of anti-seize compounds, rust preventatives, or other lubricants is not allowed because it will cause bolt over stretching.

The torque specification for the bolts is 900 +/- 100 Nm (660 +/- 75 lb ft).
