PROBLEM
The existing keypads may fail in any application it is installed. When the keypad fails it will not function and a diagnostic may be present. |
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect and possibly remove the following keypad module groups in dealer parts stock: 3406285 3484564 3606760 3608837 3774675 3848356 3848358 3928075 3928076 4231364 4603174 Suspect keypad units have a date code range between April 1, 2015 through June 22, 2016 (D15091XXXXX through D16173XXXXX). Refer to Image 1 for an example of the date code for the year and day of the year. A keypad that has a code between April 1, 2015 through June 22, 2016 (D15091XXXXX through D16173XXXXX), remove the keypad from dealer parts stock. Good keypads have date code starting from June 23, 2016 (D16174XXXXX and up). Good keypads will have a "Green dot" on the part label. Refer to Image 2. Good keypads are also if the data tag looks like the data tag in Image 3. For a good keypad, mark the package as inspected per this program and place the keypad back into dealer parts stock. |
