Correct Installation Of Steps {7254}

Usage:


D350E (9LR),
D400E (2YR),
D350E Series II (2XW),
D400E Series II (8PS),
D400E Series II Ejector (APF) Articulated Trucks

The models listed above have two sets of mounting holes to install the front and rear steps. The steps must be installed in the correct positions, as described in this article.

Front Steps

Use the lower set of mounting holes as shown in Illustration 1, to install the front steps on the following machines:

D400E
D400E Series II
D400E Series II Ejector

Use the upper set of mounting holes (A) to install the front steps on the following machines:

D350E
D350E Series II

Install the front steps and ensure Bolts (1) are tightened until the thickness of Belt (2) is 17.5 mm to 18.5 mm (.69 in to .73 in).

Rear Steps

Use the lower set of mounting holes as shown in Illustration 2, to install the rear steps on the following machines:

D400E Series II
D400E Series II Ejector

Use the upper set of mounting holes (B) to install the rear steps on the following machines:

D350E Series II

Install the rear steps and ensure Bolts (3) are tightened sufficiently to still allowing Retainers (4) to swing freely.

NOTE: There is only one set of mounting holes for the rear steps for the following machines, therefore the above installation conditions do not apply.
