New High Strength Piston Bolts For Threaded Gland Cylinders {5101,5102,5104,5106}
Usage:
Most Machines Equipped with Caterpillar Threaded Gland Cylinders
Description of Change: Piston bolt loosening and bolt stretch has been found on some machines in the field. New high strength bolts are being released to replace piston bolts used in threaded gland cylinders to improve the torque capability and the load carrying capability of the piston retaining bolt. The new bolt and the former bolts are listed in the following chart.
Adaptable To: The new bolts are a direct replacement for the former bolts used to retain the piston in threaded gland cylinders.
NOTE: Customers that are experiencing bolt loosening problems should replace the bolt with the new high strength bolt.
