Usage:
HH55 (3MZ),
HH65 (4RZ) Harvester Head
Description of Change: New feed roller wheel groups and spherical nuts are available for the machines listed. The new feed roller wheel groups and spherical nuts prevent loosening of the bolts between the wheel groups and the feed roller motor.
Effective With: The new 171-4134 Nut, 171-4339 Feed Roller Wheel Group, and 171-4338 Feed Roller Wheel Group are effective with the HH55 (3MZ213-Up) Harvester Head and the HH65 (4RZ259-Up) Harvester Head. The new wheel groups and nuts are adaptable to first production for the machines listed.
The harvester head frame may tip over when it is in the vertical position. Personal injury or death may result if this occurs. Secure the frame to the yoke with a chain or similar restraint prior to working on the harvester head.

The harvester head frame should be in the vertical position. Restrain the frame in order to prevent the frame from tipping while working on the feed rollers. Perform the procedure that follows in order to remove the feed rollers.
NOTE: The HH65 Harvester Head is shown in this procedure. The HH55 Harvester Head is similar to the HH65 Harvester Head.
Chain used to secure the Harvester Head to the yoke.
Harvester Head (Typical Example)
NOTE: The feed rollers are designed in right hand and left hand configurations. The feed rollers are not interchangeable. Make sure to install the feed rollers in the correct position.
1. Open the feed roller arms. The feed roller arms must be open in order to remove the feed rollers.
2. Support the feed roller with a hoist and suitable lifting slings. The feed roller on a HH55 Harvester Head weighs 81.6 kg (180 lb).
3. Remove nuts (2) that attach feed roller (1) to the feed roller motor.
4. Replace the feed roller and nuts with a new feed roller and new nuts. Tighten the nuts for the HH55 and HH65 Harvester Head to 240 ± 40 N·m (175 ± 30 lb ft).
5. Perform Steps 1 through 4 in order to replace the second feed roller and nuts.
