Description of Change: The engine oil scavenge pumps on these machines use new drive shaft assemblies. The new shaft assemblies are hardened along their entire length. The improved drive shaft assembly was first introduced for the high strength requirements of 16-cylinder engines. The hardened shafts are now also used in the scavenge pumps of 8- and 12-cylinder engines.
Adaptable To: The changes to the engine oil scavenge pumps are listed in Table 1. The new Drive Shaft Assembly is a direct replacement for the former Drive Shaft Assembly. The effectivity of the new shafts is listed in Table 2. The former shaft assemblies are canceled.
