Description of Change: The new cable anchor assembly improves cable retention by locking itself to the winch drum. The anchor is securely fastened to prevent it from being dislodged by a slack in the cable.
Adaptable To: The new cable anchor assembly is a direct replacement for the existing cable anchor relative to the machine. Refer to the following chart for the correct part numbers. The new cable anchors are effective with 572R (2HZ383). The new cable anchors are adaptable to 572R (AAC1-322, 2HZ1-382) and 561M (1KW1-Up). Refer to the following procedure for the proper installation of the cable anchor assemblies.

Installation Procedure
1. Feed the wire rope (1) through the cable anchor slot, as shown.
2. Make sure 2 to 4 threads of capscrew (2) are engaged in cable anchor (3). Insert the cable anchor assembly starting with capscrew (2). Insert the anchor assembly into the cable anchor slot as far as allowed. Rotate retainer (4) so that the lip of retainer (4) faces the top edge of the cable anchor slot.
3. Push and hold the head of capscrew (2) so that the lip of retainer (4) rests against the edge of the cable anchor slot. Loop wire rope (1) and feed the end into the slot past the cable anchor. The end of the wire rope should be approximately 1/4 to 3/4 inches inside of the slot.
4. Pull wire rope (1) until the wire rope and anchor (3) are securely seated in the anchor slot. Tighten capscrew (2) to a torque of 41 to 47 N·m (30 to 35 lb-ft).
