The new 174-6570 Bushings are available to service oscillating hitch assemblies. The new hitch bushing has improved grease paths for better grease penetration in highly loaded areas. The increased length of the hitch bushing will also help reduce bearing pressure.
Adaptable To: The 174-6570 Hitch Bushing can be installed on the D400D (8TF1-997), and to first production of the remainder of the machines listed above.
The 174-6570 Bushing can only be installed when one of the following conditions applies:
-
- * The hitch assembly shows no visible signs of wear.
- * The hitch assembly has been re-manufactured as described in Special Instruction SEHS9807.
- * The hitch assembly is new.
- * The hitch assembly shows no visible signs of wear.
NOTE: Correct Maintenance Schedules should be used. Regular lubrication and adjustment to the oscillating hitch will prevent excessive wear and premature bearing failure. Hitch wear caused by embedded grit and grease can be prevented by regular lubrication. This will ensure grit and hardened grease are purged from the hitch seal and bushings.
