Plate Kit Now Available To Reduce Asphalt Accumulation In The Engine Compartment {7051}

Usage:

PS-150B (3XR),
PS-200B (5JR) Pneumatic Compactors

Description of Change: A plate kit is now available for the PS-150/200B Compactors to cover openings in the mainframe under the engine. Covering the openings will reduce asphalt accumulation in the engine compartment.

Adaptable To: PS-150B (3XR1-364), PS-200B (5JR1-283).

Effective With: PS-150B (3XR365), PS-200B (5JR284).

Rework Procedure

1. Tack weld two plates (Item 1) over the openings marked (A). Tack weld each plate in three locations.

2. With plate (Item 2) centered over the existing openings in the frame marked (B), mark and drill two 12 mm mounting holes in the frame. Install the plate using the hardware listed in the "Parts Required" chart.

3. Tack weld two plates (Item 3) over the openings marked (C). Tack weld the plates in four locations on each plate.
