Reference: Special Instruction, REHS0336, "Installation of 164-4636 Coolant Recovery Bottle"

Description of Change: A coolant recovery bottle has been added to Challenger Row Crop Tractors. The bottle captures coolant overflow and allows it to return after cooldown.

Adaptable To: The coolant recovery bottle was effective with Challenger 35 (8RD076, ADK332), Challenger 45 (ABF127, 3BK373) and Challenger 55 (6NN180, AEN472) Agricultural Tractors.

The recovery bottle is retrofittable to Challenger 35 (8DN625-Up, 8RD1-75, ADK1-331), Challenger 45 (1DR1407-Up, ABF1-126, 3BK1-372), and Challenger 55 (7DM688-Up, 6NN1-179, AEN1-471) Agricultural Tractors. Use the illustration and parts list along with the following procedure.

NOTE: Challenger 35 (8DN1-624), Challenger 45 (1DR1-1406), and Challenger 55 (7DM1-687) Agricultural Tractors have a different version of coolant recovery bottle available for field installation. See reference special instruction at the beginning of this article for more information.

Installation Procedure

NOTE: For Challenger 35 (ABF123 -126) and Challenger 55 (6NN177-179, AEN463-471) Agricultural Tractors, skip to Step 4.
