2. Remove the six latches from the windows by removing Bolt (10). Remove the spacer from each window.

NOTE: The 129-8542 Retainers (9) on the outside of the windows will be reused. (See Illustration 2.)

3. Enlarge the existing hole in the 129-8542 Retainers (9) using a 15/64" Twist Drill or equivalent.

4. Remove the two 122-8429 Rods (11) from each door. Grind the surface flat along the door frame at (B). (See Illustration 3.)

6. Install each of the 159-4950 Latches (1) and 159-4951 Latches (2) in the windows using the 136-4192 Bolts (6) and the 129-8542 Retainers (9) from the previous latches. The handles should operate so that each handle is latched in the 6 o'clock position. (See Illustration 4.)

Illustration 5. Door Latch.

7. For each window on the doors, assemble the Keeper (3) or (4), 154-5406 Plate (5), and two 131-3987 Screws (7). Position the plate and keeper using the latches as your guide. (See Illustration 4 and 5.)

8. Clamp the plate to the door frame. Remove the Keeper (3) or (4) and weld the 154-5406 Plate (5) to the door frame at the top and bottom (Positions A). Paint the plate using the 4C-5843 Black Paint and reinstall the keeper.

9. For the rear windows, align the keeper to the latch on each window frame. Mark the screw holes in order to install the mounting screws. Drill the marked holes using a 3 mm (.125 in) diameter bit. Install the 131-3987 Screws (7) and keepers.

NOTE: The rear windows may require the use of the 177-4877 Shims (8) to close properly.
