Description of Change: An improved retainer features counter bored holes which will allow the use of washers to improve torque retention.
The new 162-0755 Retainer is available as a direct replacement for former 106-6542 Retainer.

The former 106-6542 Retainer can be reworked to 162-0755 Retainer dimensions by counter-boring 18 places to a diameter of 50 ± 1 mm (2.0 ± .04 in) and a depth of 5 ± 0.5 mm (.2 ± .02 in). (See Illustration 1). The eighteen 6V-8237 Washers can then be used. Adaptable To: Effective with 793C(4AR410) Off-Highway Trucks. Adaptable to earlier models.
