New Lift Cylinder Group Uses Piston For Internal Stop {5102,7562}

Usage:

446 (6FX),
446B (5BL) Backhoe Loaders

Description of Change: A new lift cylinder group uses a new piston to provide a reliable stop for the cylinder rod at full retraction. In the former cylinder group, a piston retaining bolt provided the stop. The retaining bolt could loosen during high impact loading.

Adaptable To: The new 125-7895 Lift Cylinder Group is a direct replacement for the former 111-7712 Lift Cylinder Group. The new lift cylinder group is effective with 446B (5BL500-824) Backhoe Loaders.

New 125-7895 Lift Cylinder Group (A) and new piston (1). Former 111-7712 Lift Cylinder Group (B) and former piston retaining bolt (2).

NOTE: Earlier 446 (6XF1-Up) and 446B (5BL1-499) Backhoe Loaders using 9T-2297 Lift Cylinder Groups can be updated - if both 9T-2297 Lift Cylinder Groups are replaced with new 125-7895 Lift Cylinder Groups.

The 9T-2297 Lift Cylinder Group has a smaller diameter cylinder rod compared with the cylinder rod in the new 125-7895 Lift Cylinder Group.

NOTE: If only one 9T-2297 Lift Cylinder Group is replaced, uneven loading and cylinder speed will occur.
