Usage:

225 (51U, 61X),
225B (2ZD) 225D (2SJ) 229 (1GF) 231D (5WJ, 1NK) Excavators;
227 (10W) Loggers;
PS-500 (7XD) Pneumatic Compactors;
613 (71M),
613B (38W),
613C (92X) Wheel Tractors;
CB-614 (7CD) Vibratory Compactors

Description of Change: Governor housing hold-down bolts have been changed in the above machines powered by 3208 (79V25001-Up) Engines. The two bolts securing the SMFS governor housing to the cylinder block have been lengthened and a spacer has been added. This will increase bolt stretch and improve joint clamp loading. The assembly torque for these two bolts has been increased from 19 N·m (14 lb ft) to 21 N·m (16 lb ft). Improved joint clamp loading will eliminate fretting of the bottom face of the governor housing.

Adaptable To: The 7F-5634 Ground Body Bolt replaces the former 4B-3388 Bolt on the right side of the governor housing. The ground body of the 7F-5634 Ground Body Bolt improves SMFS pump alignment when installed in the tight clearance hole.

The 1A-9579 Bolt replaces the former 4B-3388 Bolt on the left side of the governor housing.

NOTE: The bolts and spacer are part of the 9L-6925 SMFS Fastener Group.
