Description of Change: A new cylinder liner is available for these engines. The inside diameter of the new cylinder liner is 137.211 mm + 0.025± 0.013 mm (5.4020 in + .0010 ± .0005 in). The inside diameter of the former cylinder liner was 137.185 mm ± 0.025 mm (5.4010 ± .0010 in). The slightly larger inside diameter of the new cylinder liner will help prevent piston seizures while maintaining satisfactory oil control.
Adaptable To: The new 126-0739 Cylinder Liner is a direct replacement for the 6N-8700 Cylinder Liner in all applications. The former cylinder liner is canceled.
