Description of Change: The air conditioner Hi-Lo Pressure Switch, which is usually mounted on the back of the compressor, has been improved further since its release. Improvements have been made to the connector/cable assembly which is part of the switch and is used to connect the switch to the machine harness. On both switches, the connector socket that installs in the back of the switch now has beryllium copper as the socket material to resist abrasion between the pin and socket with vibration. On the Deutsch® (DT) connector of the improved 114-5333 Pressure Switch, the pins are now solid for a more reliable connection. On the Sure-Seal connector of the improved 114-5334 Pressure Switch, the Sure-Seal pin and socket crimp are now soldered for a more reliable connection.
Adaptable To: These improvements are effective with supplier date code 4305, or the 305th day of 1994. This is a running change in production. The improved switches are adaptable to all earlier machines using either the 114-5333 or the 114-5334 Hi-Lo Pressure Switches.
