Description of Change: Heavy duty buckets have been strengthened. The improvements to the buckets include the following:

* The wear strips width was changed from 50 mm to 80 mm (2.0 in to 3.2 in). A 4th strip was added to the 24 inch bucket.

* A tooth was added to the 24 inch bucket (4 to 5 teeth).

* The sideplate thickness was increased from 5.0 mm to 6.0 mm (.20 in to .24 in).

* The sidecutter thickness was increased on the heavy duty bucket from 10 mm to 16 mm (.4 in to .6 in). The sidecutter thickness was increased on the standard bucket from 12 mm to 16 mm (.5 in to .6 in).

* No new part numbers were created, existing part numbers were changed.

Adaptable To: The new improved bucket groups and components are effective with 416B (8SG4653ndashUp, 8ZK1011ndashUp), 426B (5YJ1221ndashUp, 6KL1ndashUp), 428B (7EJ2228ndashUp), 436B (6MJ543ndashUp, 7FL1ndashUp), and 438B (3KK1024ndashUp) Backhoe Loaders.
