Description of Change: A new detent spring assembly (ICM transmision detent spring) is use in the transmission control. The new detent spring assembly is shot peened for longer service life. The former spring assembly could fail along the edge of the detent support block.
Adaptable To: The new 129-3033 Spring Assembly is a direct replacement for the 9W-7008 Spring Assembly which is canceled. The new 129-3033 Spring Assembly can be identified by the mat finish on the detent end of the spring assembly. The area about 12.7 mm (.50 in) from the bolts holes on the new spring assembly will be gun-metal blue.
