Reference: Service Manual: SENR5998 "Brake System Specification".
The 8R-8529, 104-3475, 106-4842, 106-5516, and 117-7624 Brake Control Groups each incorporate two micro switches. One switch controls the brake light and one switch controls the transmission neutralizer. As adjusted and shipped from the factory, the transmission neutralizer function is correct for most applications. However, in some applications where the transmission neutralizer is used on a ramp or slope, the neutralizer function may come on too early in the brake pedal actuation stroke. This causes the neutralizing and re-engagement of the transmission to be too jerky.
The "Brake System Specification" Module in the various Service Manuals (SENR5998 for 928F) describes an adjustment procedure for the neutralizer switch assembly. This calls for a dimension of 6.0 mm (.24 in), to achieve a higher value to suit the customer application. This will delay the neutralizing and eliminate the"jerkiness".
