Front Brake Expander Tube (Earlier)

Usage:

Remove And Install Front Brake Expander Tube

start by:

a) remove front wheel bearings and Duo-Cone seals

------ WARNING! ------

Do not activate the brake after a front wheel and drum have been removed. If the brakes are activated with a brake drum removed, oil pressure in the expander tube can cause the torque bars, retractor springs and/or linkage linings to move out with enough force to cause damage to parts or personal injury.

--------WARNING!------

1. Disconnect front brake hose (1).

2. Remove brake lining frame retaining bolts (3) and collars (2).

3. Remove brake frames and linings (4) as a unit.

4. Remove brake expander tube (5) from anchor (6).


NOTICE

Do not cause damage to the seal between the connection block and the expander tube.


5. Install the brake expander tube over the anchor.

6. Install the brake frames and linings as a unit.

7. Fasten the lining frames to the anchor with collars and bolts.

8. Connect the front brake hose. Remove (bleed) the air from the brake system.

NOTE: Use mineral oil only. Do NOT use automotive type brake fluid.

a) install front wheel bearings and Duo-Cone seals
