Usage:
start by:
a) remove front wheel bearings and Duo-Cone seals
Do not activate the brake after a front wheel and drum have been removed. If the brakes are activated with a brake drum removed, oil pressure in the expander tube can cause the torque bars, retractor springs and/or linkage linings to move out with enough force to cause damage to parts or personal injury. |
1. Release brake return spring (1) with a punch and hammer.
2. Pull the spring through the lining frame and remove the brake lining (2).
3. Put brake lining in position in the lining frame.
4. Install the brake return spring into the lining, about half of the way.
5. Put spring inserter tool (A) through the frame into lining from the backside.
6. Use tool (A) as a ramp, to push the spring into place.
