Usage:
Remove Final Drive
start by:
a) remove axle
1. Remove all but two of the nuts (1) that hold the final drive assembly on the wheel assembly. Loosen the two other nuts approximately .25 in. (6.4 mm).
2. Install the two 1/2"-13 NC forcing screws in the carrier assembly (2). Pull the carrier assembly out of the wheel assembly until the carrier assembly makes contact with the two nuts.
3. Remove the two forcing screws and install tooling (A) as shown.
4. Fasten a hoist to the carrier assembly. Remove the two other nuts. Remove the carrier assembly. Weight of the carrier assembly is 260 lb. (117 kg).
Install Final Drive
1. Put tooling (A) on the carrier assembly (1) as shown. Fasten a hoist to the carrier assembly.
2. Put the carrier assembly in position on the wheel assembly.
3. Install the nuts that hold the carrier in position.

Disassemble Final Drive
start by:
a) remove final drive
1. Remove pin (1) from final drive carrier assembly (2). Remove the snap ring from the pin.
2. Remove gear (7) and two thrust washers (3) and (8) from the carrier assembly.
3. Remove two bearings (4) and (6) and spacer (5) from the gear.
Assemble Final Drive
1. Install bearings (2) and (4) and spacer (3) in gear (1) as shown.
2. Install snap ring (5) on pin (6). Install thrust washers (8) on the gear as shown. Install pin (6) through carrier assembly (7) and the final drive gear (1).
