SUPPLEMENT FOR 772B TRACTOR, 773B TRUCK & 775B QUARRY TRUCK- Caterpillar

1. Put the hoods in the "OPEN" position.

2. Disconnect clip (1) from the bracket.

3. Remove clamp (4). Remove oil filler tube assembly (3) from the valve cover.

4. Remove bolts (5). Remove valve cover (2) from the valve cover base.

Install Valve Cover

1. Check the seal in the valve cover for wear or damage. If necessary, make a replacement Put valve cover (1) in position on the valve cover base.

3. Install the bolts that hold the valve cover. tighten the bolts in number sequence to a torque of 24 ± 7 N·m (18 ± 5 lb ft).

4. Put oil filler tube assembly in position on the valve cover. Install the clamp on the tube and cover. connect clip to the bracket.

5. Put the hoods in the "CLOSED" position.
